Christoph: For us as tree care specialists and pruners, the configuration of the machine is decisive. The choice of a truck-mounted aerial work platform with a 32-metre working height was quickly made when we saw the specifications.
The great advantage is that we can now carry out our work much faster. Where we used to lose more time on positioning, we can now get started straight away. Moreover, the price-quality ratio at Thomas & Ufkes is excellent.
Christoph: That is the biggest advantage. We often work in challenging conditions, such as alongside the road. In those situations, the lateral reach of 20 metres on this aerial work platform is crucial. We can now extend far over the road to prune without hindering traffic. How Tom Reyskens Boomverzorging carries out his work more efficiently and safely with a 21-metre towed aerial work platform. We visited Tom Reyskens and listened to his story.
Tom: For us as tree care specialists, the weight of the machine is crucial. This 21-metre towed aerial work platform is remarkably light, which means I can easily access people’s gardens, even when the entrance is narrow or the ground is sensitive. That is an enormous advantage for my daily work.
Tom: The reach is fantastic. Both the working height of 21 metres and the lateral reach of 13.50 metres allow us to treat trees that were previously difficult or impossible to reach. We can do much more from a single position, which saves time and makes our work considerably more enjoyable.
Tom: That is at least as important to me as the machine itself. When problems arise, I can always reach Thomas & Ufkes quickly. Control is handled via a modern CANbus system. This drastically reduces the amount of physical wiring, minimizing the risk of cable breaks and malfunctions. Should an issue unexpectedly arise, the CANbus technology enables quick fault analysis via clear error codes on the display, keeping downtime to a minimum.
Combined with the brand-new Moba control system, the operator enjoys unparalleled comfort. The new hydraulics and software ensure extremely smooth, fluid and vibration-free movements.
